Oxygen Scavengers
Oxygen Scavengers are commonly added to drilling fluids and completion fluids to mitigate the adverse effects of dissolved oxygen in downhole environments. Dissolved oxygen can radically decompose polymeric additives in the drilling fluid and can corrode the metal casing and the drill pipe.
Product Information
OS BRI-SCAV L is mainly used in low density clear brine workover and completion fluids containing monovalent ions such as potassium and sodium. We recommend that this product is not used with chrome resistant alloy metallurgy.
OS BRI-SCAV L rapidly removes dissolved oxygen from fluids and is efficient at low concentrations.
OS BRI-SCAV L is an organic acid salt blend in an aqueous solution.
OS BRI-SCAV L is mainly used in low density clear brine workover and completion fluids containing monovalent ions such as potassium and sodium. OS BRI-SCAV L is a non-sulphite oxygen scavenger and can be used in Calcium Bromide brines where Bisulphite or Sulphite based products are not suitable as they will form Calcium Precipitates.

Advantages
OS BRI-SCAV L is an effective sulphur-free oxygen scavenger for calcium containing brines. OS BRI-SCAV L will not precipitate calcium and is environmentally friendly. OS BRI-SCAV L reacts fast with O2, even at low temperatures.
Application
OS BRI-SCAV L can be added at a dosage rate of between 0.1 lb/bbl to 1 lb/bbl (0.2853kg/m3 to 2.853kg/m3) for packer fluids, depending on conditions, application and specific requirements.
OS BRI-SCAV L is required to be regularly added in circulation fluids.
All dosage recommendations are provided only as a reference. Final dosage treatments should be calculated by conducting field tests that accurately represent exposure conditions.

OS BRI-SCAV L is packaged in 200 kg drums.
