OS COR 420 - Drilling Corrosion Inhibitor
Corrosion
Oilfield tubulars and other downhole equipment must be protected from all types of corrosion when exposed to well fluids of any kind. Surface corrosion is a common cause of tubular failures and must be controlled at all times. Corrosion inhibitors should be applied to all fluids that have the potential to create a corrosive environment.
Product Information
OS COR 420 is a formulated product containing a mixture of amines in a water carrier solvent. OS COR 420 is used as a general drilling fluid inhibitor and for applications involving packer fluids and completions fluids.
Typical Physical Properties
Advantages
OS COR 420 can be used with drilling fluids and their associated solids content as well as with clear fluids for completion/workover applications. OS COR 420 is designed to have a high solubility in sodium chloride and calcium chloride brines. OS COR 420 will not interfere with normal drilling fluid properties.
Application
For use as a standard drilling inhibitor, to prevent corrosion of the drill string, it is recommended to be used at 2% of the drilling fluid volume.
For use in clear fluids it is recommended to be added at 0.5-1.0% of the fluid volume.
Packaging
OS COR 420 is packaged in 55 US gallon drums.
